I’ve noticed lately that a wide variety of informational, or networking sites such as Meta, Instagram, Linked-in, even Quora, and Reddit, where people go to read other people’s work, publish their own and share their opinions, have become something akin to online dating sites.
Same problem. Freaks. I had one argue he was Jeremy Renner and thought i was rude for not participating in his silly direct message. I asked him as you did and he went off on me like I was insane. Yikes. I never thought the trolling would be on Substack. Boy, was I wrong.
I get it on X a lot. I sock it to 'em over there. That's where I can let loose and don't have to carry an air of propriety. :)

I've had more of that on SubStack as well and find it very irritating.
I know: you’re creating the perfect sentence and all of a sudden here comes a “hey, baby,” message!
